Rio Jacober, Crystal River Meats

“As progressive Ag producers focusing on grass-fed beef, we rely directly on access to public grazing lands, specifically in the Thompson Divide area. Gas and oil development in the area, while temporarily productive, would lead to permanent negative impacts on the agriculture business. Century-old operations and local food production would never be the same and in some cases would cease to exist at all. At Crystal River Meats, we believe in the historical multi-use model of public land with priority given to the largest benefits of the public, in this case, agriculture, recreation, tourism, and preserving of open space and landscape.”
